Dear NAME,
War, terrorism, child abuse, public beatings—all these things make the world a very scary and confusing place for children. It is therefore essential that today’s children are taught to think for themselves, stand up for what they know is right and take control of what they can do to help change the world for the better. The new book Fashion Fighter, a work of juvenile fiction by author and peace activist Deborah O’Dowd, approaches current world issues through the eyes of seven-year-old Kylie “Cheeks” Acosta, with the hope of providing a tool to open communication between parents and children.
Are you working on any stories about how world issues affect our children’s belief systems as well as their sense of significance and ability to help make positive change? Would you be interested in receiving a complimentary copy of the book for story or interview consideration?
Please let me know if you need additional information or if you would like to speak with Deborah O’Dowd. Thank you for your time and consideration.
Best regards,
Jeannie Dunn
